Helpful Hint:
Let the professionals
do the math!
Go to the local Farm Service Agency (FSA) office, get on the CREP Interest List, and let FSA develop a CREP contract offer for you…A CREP contract offer will tell you exactly how much $$ you can earn for conservation!
Helpful Hint:
Think cash flow
could be a problem?
Think you'll have trouble with the up-front cost of installing a buffer? Ask your FSA representative about getting an assignment of payment to pass the cost-share payments directly to your contractor!
Helpful Hint:
CREP isn't simple…
but it is flexible!
CREP is flexible and designed with your individual conservation needs in mind…that's why the information on this table is a little vague. Use this table as a framework, but let the professionals guide you through the program.

Make Conservation Profitable on Your Land
CREP offers one of the best economic incentive packages for practicing conservation that Pennsylvania has ever seen! Below is just one example of how much you could earn by enrolling in CREP.

For example, a producer has a 21-acre pasture with a 5-acre section of unfenced stream flowing through it.  The 5 acres of low-value pasture can be enrolled in CREP for 15 years, and the producer will be reimbursed for all streambank fencing AND  earn cash for conservation!
REIMBURSEMENT:
CREP offers up to 100% reimbursement for installing conservation practices
through an installation cost-share payment
